Woezo Africa B.A.D Program

An incredible opportunity to be immersed in. Very happy I stayed in Calgary over the summer to train with Woezo and a vibrant community of artists.

To engage with a black community in Calgary inside a cultural container focused on dance is a special and spirit building reality.

The Black Arts Development (BAD) Program is a 3 Week Dance Intensive from July 10 - 29 at the @decidedlyjazz studios. 

This FREE 3 Week Dance Intensive invites five guest dance instructors @ecoledessables @mr.ksargeant85 @imaniafatima @omari_wiles and @akosua_asa to lead workshops and intensives for 40 African, Caribbean and Black participants. An honorarium of $50 (Youth) and $100 (Adults) will be awarded to all candidates upon successful completion of the program.

The instructors will be traveling from Africa (Rwanda), Trinidad and Tobago and the USA (Atlanta, Chicago and New York) bringing over their 20+ years of experience in African diasporic dance forms.
